God has been laying this verse on my heart lately: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 "Give thanks in all circumstances" This has been increasingly difficult for me. I know that God isn't asking me to give thanks FOR all circumstances, but finding the blessings in Zachary's trial phase is proving to be a difficult task. We were so close to having squash approved, then, out of the blue, he had a reaction. Talk about disappointment. I have read that some babies with protein intolerance can actually tolerate a certain amount of certain proteins. We made it to the 4-Tbsp mark before Zachary reacted, which means maybe that's all he can tolerate. In which case, we'll be able to give him 4 bites on a regular basis of squash, but no more. Monday, June 24th was just a normal day. I was still exactly 5 days away from my due date and had whole-heartedly prayed that I wouldn't be going into work that week but as 5:30am Monday morning rolled around, my alarm went off, and I was still pregnant. I got up, got ready, and went to work. My co-workers had talked for weeks about doing an office pool to guess when Baby Mouw would come, what gender it would be, and what it would weigh. On that Monday, five days before my due date, they started sending a form around the office for everyone to place their bets. I didn't get to see what anyone was guessing but I kept asking if anyone had guessed that day or the next. I don't know if it was just because I was ready to be done or if I knew somehow that I was getting close. I finished the day, tied up all my loose ends at work, and headed home. Going On An Adventure - Monday with Mommy

I'm interrupting everything I'm behind on to go on an adventure with Bubba. My days at home with him may come to an end soon, so we aren't taking for granted the days we do have together. I am currently working 20 hours a week, 5 hours Tuesday night, 5 hours Wednesday night, and 10 hours on Saturday. Which means: A) Zachary does not have to go to Day Care B) Saturday is really the only day I have to be away from him C) I have basically the whole week to do things that I WANT to do instead of being consumed by a job that takes up my entire life But my current position is temporary. At the end of March, they may extend it, or they may not. There is also a chance that different positions will become available that I can apply for which means my work schedule would most likely change, drastically.
